《中國機械工程師學(xué)會學(xué)報》的宗旨是將機械工程各領(lǐng)域長期關(guān)注的原始研究成果作為交流的載體。期刊特別歡迎與近期技術(shù)進步有關(guān)的論文。這些貢獻，可以是分析的、實驗的或數(shù)值的，對機械工程的發(fā)展具有重要意義。雜志上發(fā)表的論文大部分是相當(dāng)深入的全文文章。另一個重要的格式是技術(shù)摘要，它旨在作為一種手段，以簡略的形式快速交流最近的發(fā)展。對已發(fā)表論文的評論可以用討論的方式提出，但作者應(yīng)當(dāng)予以反駁。

The object of the Journal of Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineers is to serve as a vehicle for the communication of original research results of permanent interest in all fields of mechanical engineering. The Journal especially welcomes papers that are related to recent technological advances. The contributions, which may be analytical, experimental or numerical, should be of significance to the progress of mechanical engineering. The majority of the papers published in the journal are full-length articles of considerable depth. Another important format is the Technical Brief, which is intended to serve as a means for the rapid communication of recent developments in an abridged form. Comments on published papers may be submitted in the form of discussion, which is subject to a rebuttal by the author.
