《植物生理學與生物化學》以不同層次的整合(分子、亞細胞、細胞、器官、整株植物、環境)出版了植物生理學(生物化學、生理學、結構、遺傳學、植物與微生物相互作用等)各個領域的原始理論、實驗和技術貢獻。發表在雜志上的觀點是作者的唯一責任，出版并不意味著編輯的同意。未與生物化學分析和/或植物生理過程的實際測量相結合的分子遺傳學和/或基因表達數據的手稿不適合用于PPB。同樣，在植物生理和/或生物化學過程中沒有產生新的、基本的見解的應用農藝研究也不適合在PPB上發表。植物生理學和生物化學發表幾種類型的文章:評論、論文和短文。評論文章要么由編輯邀請，要么由作者提出，由編輯事先同意。評審不應超過40個打字頁數，短文不應超過8個打字頁數。植物生理學和生物化學的基本特征仍然是期刊的原始結果。

Plant Physiology and Biochemistry publishes original theoretical, experimental and technical contributions in the various fields of plant physiology (biochemistry, physiology, structure, genetics, plant-microbe interactions, etc.) at diverse levels of integration (molecular, subcellular, cellular, organ, whole plant, environmental). Opinions expressed in the journal are the sole responsibility of the authors and publication does not imply the editors' agreement.Manuscripts describing molecular-genetic and/or gene expression data that are not integrated with biochemical analysis and/or actual measurements of plant physiological processes are not suitable for PPB. Similarly, applied agronomic studies that generate no new, fundamental insights in plant physiological and/or biochemical processes are not suitable for publication in PPB.Plant Physiology and Biochemistry publishes several types of articles: Reviews, Papers and Short Papers. Articles for Reviews are either invited by the editor or proposed by the authors for the editor's prior agreement. Reviews should not exceed 40 typewritten pages and Short Papers no more than approximately 8 typewritten pages. The fundamental character of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry remains that of a journal for original results.
